FVMA Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) Introduction
The Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA) now recognizes and certifies the designation of Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA). As such, the FVMA, in cooperation with Animal Care Technologies (ACT), is proud to offer veterinary medical personnel the opportunity to expand their professional growth by offering an online CVA program.
This CVA program creates a solid foundation for animal health professionals, enabling them to become more informed, skilled, and trusted members of their teams.

Gain a sound knowledge base to be a more effective and valuable member of any animal health team. Gain hands-on experiences to demonstrate competency in dozens of foundational skills.
A veterinarian or RVT/LVT will mentor the student throughout the program to assess and verify their skills along the way. Students in the program acquire their online education along with on-the-job practical experience and then go on to take their final examination online.

Signup requires a minimum purchase of two CVA exam credits.
*The FVMA CVA program does not require a long-term commitment or contract, and includes a subscription to Animal Care Technologies online staff training program for up to 20 staff and over 750 videos for every position and level of experience. Additional user limits are available. You may cancel anytime.
Additional test credits can be purchased as needed.
Retesting is available for $35 per exam.
